About the project

Room for your perspective.

Frontier Companion is being shaped around a dialogical approach: a conversation that makes room for the person, rather than imposing one path.

Language, culture and your circumstances

The application supports English and Ukrainian. You choose the language and companion style; neither choice defines your background, identity or needs.

Language support alone does not establish cultural understanding. The AI may miss local meanings, humour, the realities of displacement or service, and the significance of an experience. You can explain what matters, correct a misunderstanding, or decide that the conversation is not useful.

The project aims to learn from participant and practitioner perspectives, including war-affected contexts. This is a design intention, not a claim that the companion has been validated for every community or situation.

What “dialogical” means here

Your words, uncertainty and choices matter. The intention is to support exploration, rather than rush towards an answer. A person may want to talk, pause, disagree, or struggle to find words.

This describes the design approach. It is not evidence that every AI response will achieve it.

Authorship and stewardship

Frontier Companion is the project’s public identity. The project is authored and operated by Dominic Sweeting. Contact frontierpsychology@outlook.com. No incorporated organisation or CIC status is claimed here.

Learning through feedback

The project’s intended development approach includes learning from participant and practitioner feedback. Details of completed feedback work, resulting changes and the current development stage will be added when verified.
